How green are you?
Helping our customers to make eco-friendly purchasing decisions is in our DNA. Our Green Audit program is increasingly popular with many businesses that we work with who have their own sustainability objectives. Our initial consultation involves reviewing product mix and spend history. We use this data to provide sustainable product alternatives, but we don’t stop there. This environmental spend analysis can form part of our quarterly review process to help meet your own green goals over the long term.
It’s now even easier to shop ‘green’ at BSG. Our online platform allows you to search for products with recycled and green credentials, so that you can always make a ‘sustainable’ buying decision!

Solar panels, electric vehicles and more...
We really want to reduce our consumption of fossil fuel generated electricity, so we are currently working on solar panel projects at two of our sites. This will generate upwards of 128,000kWh of clean energy a year, making a significant dent in our fossil fuel consumption.
When it comes to transportation, we’re fully on board with the electric vehicle (EV) revolution. Currently 46% of our company cars are now either fully electric or hybrid and going forward all new company cars will be.

Tree Planting – Yonder Oak Wood
A successful day was had at Yonder Oak Wood, Devon, with a group of our green fingered colleagues, headed by Rebecca and Julian, taking part in the first Carbon Capture tree planting day for 2023.
The day commenced with a demonstration by The Woodland Trust ‘how to most effectively plant trees’, resulting in an incredible 600 Saplings proudly planted.
The Carbon Capture programme allows businesses to mitigate the C02 emissions from the production and distribution of purchased paper and materials. As a group we are delighted to contribute to over 420,000 trees, capturing 96,000 tonnes of C02 through the trust.
